Obama keeps pushing the envelope as the most aggressively pro-death / pro-abortion president of America.

  1. It’s called pro-choice, not pro-death.
I agree that abortions should be avoided… (proper sexual education in schools, freely available contraceptives, etc, etc, after all most unwanted preggos are teenagers) but prohibiting it?
Do women have to go back to the clothes hanger?
Here in Belgium, a girl was so terrified of her parents and their beliefs that instead of having an abortion she hid her pregnancy and then murdered the child after giving birth to it alone, in a shack. Happened last year, in a civilized european country. And I’m not saying she was justified. Killing a newborn baby (newborn as in actually out of the womb) is murder. But that’s the kind of situation you’re heading for if abortion’s prohibited. One bigoted family, in a country where abortion’s LEGAL, was enough to make a confused teenager into a murderer. Just one family. If a whole country acts like that, how many of those cases will there be? Removing some cells is not murder. But turning people so desperate that they’d do anything to be rid of it even when it’s already to late? That’s criminal.

For a “scientifically minded” person, like you, when does “it” become “a baby”. When it looks like a baby? That’s why sonars are so effective to have mothers decide against abortions. What does a heartbeat mean to you? Is “it” still just cells then? What about the artificial distinction of a few minutes inside and outside the womb? So today a baby is really safer outside the womb than inside it. Sad.

      BISMARCK, North Dakota
      Tue Mar 26, 2013 (Reuters)

North Dakota on Tuesday adopted the most restrictive abortion law in the United States, as the governor signed a bill that bans the procedure in most cases once a fetal heartbeat can be detected, as early as six weeks.

  2. Further evidence that all pro-lifers are seriously pathetic and have nothing better to do than infringe upon the choices of women.

Arden, what is the purpose of your “mild religiosity”? That’s likely rhetorical. What is the name of your God?

I’m quoting what you wrote below. I hope your vanity & foolish pride either embarrasses you (unlikely) or at least allows others to get an appropriate perspective on you.

“I’m probably not what you expected lookswise. I don’t think anyone expects me to look the way I do. As vain as it sounds, I take a lot of pride in my appearance and I love what I look like. Hate all you want, but I think God did an okay job creating me.

I’m mildly religious. I take everything with a grain of salt, but I acknowledge that there are some forces just beyond our reckoning. I’m not ‘pure’ and don’t believe in abstaining until marriage – how awful would that be!”

    • Servant says:

Arden, I’ll probably start working on a post dedicated to you – as a part two on why abortion is abhorrent, evil and plainly murder. The sacrifice of millions of the most defenseless among us, for what? As a method of “contraception”, after conception? Just shedding a few kilos? …some redundant “cells”?

Plainly as a sacrifice to self-worship – for the pleasurable expression of lust.

Woe to the proud defenders & champions of abortion, like you Arden.
